just packin’
I meant to get more done this weekend than I actually did. But I’m still packing. Packing packing packing. Somehow I have to get my ANTM podcast done along with a billion other things this week before I move.
I move on Monday. Oh. My.

On Friday night (Saturday around 3am actually), after DJing, I went with the Spin folks to Charlie’s. It was fun for a few minutes, but after a beer and a shot I made my way home. I thought, for a second, about trying to hook up with a certain someone, but then I realized how much drama that would have caused, and thought better of it. Besides, once this move is over, there’s a date in the works with a guy I met the other night.
So we’ll see.

Saturday Mom picked me up and we took the cats back to their house. We played cards for a while and watched cooking shows. Too fun! When my Dad got home from work we went to the Red Apple and stuffed ourselves silly with Polish buffet.
My gut was SERIOUSLY larger when I returned home, and I drifted off to bed quite early in a butter and pork fat coma. I sense another girth spurt coming on as a direct result of that meal.

On Sunday I did a ton of purging early on in the day, throwing away lots of ratty clothes and old magazines. My Japanese teacher and I met around 4 for class at the local Starbucks, and then decided to eat a Tokyo Marina. I intended to come home after the meal and do more cleaning, but I fell into a stupor and drifted to sleep, only to wake up at midnight with no hope of getting back to bed.
I watched “Female Yakuza Tale”, one of the influential films that led to “Kill Bill.” There are several scenes that are echos of what Quentin Tarantino did in his film. The last scene is very much akin to his House of Blue Leaves fight scene. However, “Female Yakuza Tale” doesn’t have the giant fountains of blood that the Lady Snowblood films do.
