dizzy with energy
I went to Dr. Dan’s this morning and am still high from the alignment. Whenever he puts me back in line I want to dance around and do high kicks all day. He knew exactly what the problem was and totally called me on it; too much worry, too much on my plate, too many things going on. But I have perspective on it all, and that is good.
My sister was downtown but we couldn’t make it to see each other. She’s passed a large engineering exam she just took, and I hope it means she’ll get out of the hellhole support department where she’s currently working. I really want her to live in the city. I hope she is able to transfer somewhere close and we can hang out more. By me not driving, I don’t get to see her as often as I’d like.
As usual, I have a busy weekend ahead of me. I still have to finish the Idolcast I’ve strung together. It’s coming along well, but I’ve been concentrating on other things. Radiopeter.com needs another episode too.
This is Holy Weekend for me, so I’ll be going to church with my family on Saturday night. It’ll be good to get my Jesus on for a minute. My heathen self really needs it. I love the mystery of the whole ceremony. It’s beautiful, and I can’t wait.
Sunday will be a huge day. I’ll be judging the Windy City Gay Idol at Stargaze early in the evening, and doing the radio late in the evening with Amy Matheny. I always look forward to working with her. She’s the best, and I love her energy.
My house is still a wreck. I am going to abstain from the booze this evening, slip out of Spin just as I’m paid, and sink into a deep sleep until bright and early on Saturday morning… when I’ll get up and begin to seriously make the place pretty.
The couch and new bed should be here soon. I need a million things from Ikea, and my sister and I plan to trek out there on Monday night. Hopefully, I won’t fall alseep while I’m with her. I need a dining room set, a possible chest of drawers, and some office chairs. More of a journey to touch things (I’m way better with spatial sense than actually figuring out what a 3′x5′ table looks like), Ikea will bring good ideas into my head, even if I don’t buy anything.
God damn I love my new place. I absolutely LOVE it.
