bizzy ‘n dizzy
Well well. Two podcasts within days of each other. Audio AND a vidjo. I’m fairly proud of myself.
I’ve just found out that my VX2000 camera is acting foolish and will need to be sent to Sony for repairs. That wouldn’t be so bad if the charge weren’t $570something flat. Since I’ve been eyeing the Canon HV20 HDV camera, I may just skip the Sony repairs and buy a new vidjo cam.
Here’s my dealio tho. I don’t have an HD tv. And I’m going to be shooting stuff a lot, no doubt. But does it need to be in HD? I dunno. I really don’t know. I’d like to think that buying the camera would allow me to stay a bit ahead of the curve.
The crucial point of the new Canon camera, which is the same as my Sony, is that it allows for an audio input. That’s something I’ll definitely need in a new camera. Not to mention the Canon is maybe 1/4 the size of the Sony. True, it’s not a 3CCD camera, but it looks pretty freakin’ awesome. The 24p cinema mode is pretty sexy and it’ll drop down to SD more whenever I need it to.
Decisions decisions.

Check out http://www.videohelp.com for advise on the camera options.. I use them for all my capturing, converting, authoring, recording, etc, needs. Just search on the models and you should find something (even if just people bitching about them)
