Peter Mavrik, The Queer In Your Ear, produces his show right from the heart of Boystown in Chicago, Illinois. Listen to his unique perspective on life, love, the world around him, and the people in it.
This is the hardest video I’ve had to edit to date. Watching the footage, listening to the music in the video (which I listened to while I was actually at these places) made me want to hop on a plane and run away back to New Mexico. I cried a bit during the final Carlsbad bits. That place hit me pretty hard.
My friends Adam and Joe stopped by this afternoon to play with my Wii. My kitties were fascinated with all the goings on. Plus honestly, this was yet another excuse to use my HV20 and test out some things.
I’m back to podcasting right here on Radio Peter and as I mentioned in my previous post, I do indeed sit down in front of the microphone and sort out some relationship stuff. Agree? Disagree? I’d love to hear back from you noise a t radiopeter d o t com.
Oh, and I’ve left WCQ and WCMG. I dish about that a bit too.
And a big thank you to Pete in SF who wrote one of the most kind and thoughtful comments in the history of radiopeter.com on the previous post. Thank you, thank you, and thank you again!
Ok, so it’s taken forever for me to get this together. But iMovie ‘08 and I hung out for about an hour and I produced this vidjo. The app isn’t ideal by any stretch, but it’s good for what it is, and I was able to get this together relatively quickly. I love the integration with all the other apps.
Been a while since I did a podcast of my own, but here ya go. I’m back. Talking about that moment when you move from lust to intimacy to love. Ang Lee’s movie really got my gears turning about it.
Just getting ready to go to sleep, and I share some thoughts about new people, new experiences, and an emotional movie I saw called The Cats of Mirikatani.
I used to love him, but now I don’t. Wise words in song. This one is about relationship stuff, cooking dinner for your soul, Segway rides, Chicagoist.com, and John Ong’s show.
So during the Caged Dames cast party, Cheryl ordered up the evil boot and the drinking began. This tiny vidjo is proof that it takes a whole table of drunks to drink a boot. *hic*
I turn 30 today and I’m coming to you live from my bathtub. After being a player of the game “Stay Away, Closer” for a long time, karma is a bitch and I’m on the receiving end.
Mood music and some thoughts about what could be and what is. It’s time to move on in the best way possible, and I will be. Been a long week, but music makes it better. And why does everyone ask me “Why are you single?”
Chattin’ with my buddy Jonathan, fellow co-worker at Spin and all around groovy guy. The opening track is an old Love 2 Infinity remix from 1996. It’s one of those songs that I’ve loved forever, but only recently found again. And per Jonathan’s request, we close with some Pink.
New Year’s Eve musings as I look back at the year that brought me into podcasting, into the gayborhood, and beyond. Plus a little Gospel music at the end of the show.
I failed the homework assignment John Ong gave us on the Windy City Queercast. He asked for us to talk about why we podcast and the first part of this program is my answer.
As far as the second part goes, I gotta let go. I really do. But it’s hard ’cause I really like him a lot.
Talkin’ to you while makin’ Peanut Butter cookies from a Cooks Illustrated recipe. Yum!! I got a Roomba and I love it. Not to mention I’m in a Hell In A Handbag Production called Rudolph The Red-Hosed Reindeer at the Bailiwick.
A recap of the first two hours of America’s Next Top Model Cycle 7, plus some political banter. Some things aren’t really news. Don’t trust any news source. Take it all with a grain of salt people.
This show was recorded using Übercaster. A quick dish about my busy week back to the grind at work. I chat about my DJ experience and my new Wednesday gig, and finally to all you HATERS in the Blogosphere, it’s a GREAT thing that Lance Bass is GAY and OUT. So many negative folks out there think he’s done harm to us and I strongly disagree.
I list the names of the 30 Under 30 recipients, which includes me. I urge all of you out there to do some good for our community and make some time to give back. Truly, it takes a village to come out and live a healthy and productive Queer life.
Just a quick hello. I’m now the resident Wednesday DJ at Spin Nightclub! Going to do some soundseeing at IML weekend at The Palmer House in downtown Chicago. Wanda Wisdom should be on the radio with me on Sunday. I ain’t no graphic designer, but Jackie from Supergurl definitely is. Check out her Merle Norman campaign at Windy City Media Group. Subscribe to our radio program / queercast at Windy City Queercast.
I HEART Katamari Damancy. Making chicken stock, key lime pie, potato salad, popovers that didn’t pop, windycityqueercast.com, radiopeter makeover, korean food eating, house of blues gig, ANTM update, the final, and other randomness because I can.
